Les bons plans mode à Paris

Yesterday was the hotest day of the week in NYC! I think I couldn't stand this heat any more! More than 40 degrees, can you imagine? Hopefully Earl was on its way to cool down the city today. The Labor Day week-end is announced to be more enjoyable for walking time!

So between a job meeting at the NYAS early in the morning and a late (disgusting) lunch with two job-collaborators I had a one hour shopping at Century 21. I tried many clothes and shoes and accessories, funny! Finally this bag will be for my sister, this cute shoes for me and I decided not to buy the synthetic fur coat (40 USD instead of 250)...but it was so cold in the shop that it was a great pleasure to wear it while shopping! And unfortunatly the beautifull cape was too big for me!

I am just back from an amazing sunset on Manhattan (from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade to the Fulton Ferry Landing) and I wanted to share this unforgettable pictures (click on to enlarge them!) with you...enjoy @)

*It was so so hot in NY today (40 degrees?) that the only thing I could do was shopping&eating (first time I love so much the air conditionned!)!

So I took the F train from Brooklyn to Soho this morning and 10 minutes later (crazy!) I was on Broadway : shopping paradise? I won't say so...

First I had a very good breakfast at Hampton Chutney&co. I really recommend you this cheap indian organic restaurant (I had a lunch there last january, the vegetable biryani was perfect)! After two cookies just out of the oven (peanut butter and white chocolate/macadamia) and the cardamon coffee (that reminded me so much my travel to India) I was ready to go shopping! First stop : Topshop. Stayed there five minutes to look for a bag and gave up! From my opiniun everything there is too expensive for synthetic/bad quality...

Then I walk to Bloogmindale and fall in love with those so cute gloves from UGG :

(in real the gloves are camel, with cachemire inside, and the fur is not that white, looking foward wearing them with my Ugg boots!)

For those who don't, here is my itinerary from Bryant Park to 5th Ave.

From Brooklyn, after a very good breakfast in a cute garden at Sweet Melissa (I will write a note later on this place), I took the F train to Manhattan (only 15 minutes from the flat in Brooklyn!) and stopped at Bryant Park (the first I discovered in 2007, my first visit here). I love this quiet park located a few minutes from the 5th Avenue!

* I spent half the day at Coney Island (direct train from the flat: 30 minutes and 4,5 dollars round trip I was on the beach!)! It was so hot in NYC today! Why don't we have the beach closer to Paris? Well, even if Coney Island is not glamourous at all I am jealous and want so much to live in Brooklyn @)

Hi girls!

* I landed in NYC a few hours ago. I am exhausted...but fine since the weather here is FANTASTIC!!! 30 degrees and a blue sky.

I am kindly 'hosted' by a couple of friends in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, which I like very much! So quiet compared to Manhattan! I just had a two hour walk, here are some pictures :

Désolée, la semaine est passée trop vite! Je n'ai pas eu le temps de vous proposer une note sur mes adresses shopping à NYC...sorry! Mais c'est pas grave, je vous en parlerai en live puisque je m'envole samedi matin (par le premier avion).

Dans ma fashion shopping-list? Pas grand chose (pour le moment). Mon shoppingage se fera aux coups de coeur, au gré de mes promenades!

Cette semaine je suis au régime! Je suis rentrée avec 2 bons kilos en trop lors de mon séjour à Big Apple en janvier dernier. Bon, il faisait genre -20 degrés donc j'ai dû me gaver pour affronter ce froid...mais la vraie raison est que j'adore the american food. La vraie, la calorique, tout ce que je ne me permets pas vraiment à Paris...ou alors avec parcimonie!

Bon alors, de NY je vais rapporter quoi en terme de cochonneries?

Tout ça! Yummy!  



Sans oublier les célèbres cookies de chez Levain Bakery (pas encore testés, mais beaucoup entendu parlé!).

Je pars dans quelques jours à NYC pour la...quatrième fois : il me tarde! Je partage plus tard avec vous mes adresses '' food'' & ''fashion'', je commence aujourd'hui par mes incontournables ''shopping beauté" là-bas, dans ma ville préférée @)

Note to myself : partir juste avec deux paires de shoes, deux robes, une veste, mon bikini Eres et quelques échantillons de produits de beauté sinon tout ne rentrera pas pour le retour!

Voici donc, ce qu'il faut absolument que je fasse à Big Apple :

¤ booker un soin du corps chez Fresh! J'adore cette marque qui propose un super deal : vous payez votre soin visage ou corps et vous profitez non seulement des papouilles choisies, mais vous partez également avec l'équivalent du prix de votre soin en produits de beauté de la marque (je suis si nostalgique de la période où la marque proposait ce concept au Printemps, mais pourquoi Fresh s'est-elle retirée du marché français?)! Pour ma part je suis accro à la gamme Lemon Sugar. Je vais donc me réapprovisionner en lait pour le corps et en parfum. Cette fragrance citronnée est très sucrée et super girlie : parfaite pour égayer l'hiver (pour ma part je la personnalise avec une touche de White Musc de chez The Body Shop, divin)! J'aime aussi le parfum Saké. Très particulier, on l'aime...ou pas! Mais il m'en reste encore un flacon entier de 100ml. Ah oui, le Soy Shampoo est super aussi. Et il me tarde de découvrir la ligne 'Eat Pray Love' à l'occasion de l'adaptation du best seller en film (sortie en France le 22 septembre)!

Je me suis octroyé un joli WE de 3 jours à Trouville/Deauville et j'ai adoré...même si la pluie était au RDV le matin j'ai pu profiter de la plage un après-midi, faire du repérage shopping, me reposer du bruit de la capitale et bien manger @)

Côté hôtel j'avais décidé de faire confiance à Tripadvisor et avais réservé 2 nuits au Fer à Cheval à Trouville (que je ne linke pas, manquerait plus que je leur fasse de la pub!) et j'ai été super déçue. Ma chambre (la 306) s'est révélée d'un rapport qualité/prix plus que médiocre : du moisi sur les murs (avec les odeurs qui vont avec) quelle horreur!
